About Mr. Bailey's Minder...

Moartz Inc. is excited to announce they are back in 2023 with their latest production "Mr. Bailey’s Minder", a dramatic comedy written by Debra Oswald and directed by Sue Lindsay.

It’s a funny and deeply moving play about family, friendship, forgiveness, ego, art and the secret longing for a better life.

Leo Bailey is Australia’s greatest living artist, burned out by booze, he has sunk into alcoholic dementia and is incapable of looking after himself.

His detached daughter Margo has been through a string of live-in-minders for him, until she comes across Therese, fresh out of prison and desperate for a job and a place to call home.

Then comes along Karl, a kind-spirited handyman.

Let’s see how these four damaged souls struggle to accept their own and each other’s demons with hope and often humour, but can they all sustain the journey?

Moartz Charity Night 2023

Moartz is proud to support Anglicare Victoria’s “Get out for Good” program on Thursday 7th Sept. (8 pm show), where $5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Anglicare Gippsland.

Get out for Good is a post release prison program. Volunteer mentors help offenders transition from prison to community and aim to break the cycle of reoffending and returning to custody.

Returning to the community after time spent in prison can be an anxious and difficult time.  It has been shown that having someone to help reconnect you with the community can be the key to turning your life around. Get out for Good is a post-release prison program that provides volunteer mentors who offer non-judgemental support to assist in this transition.

Personal donations (to Anglicare Gippsland) will be accepted with 100% of your gift going straight to the Gippsland branch of the Get Out for Good program.
